Geographical importance of Waimalu
Waimalu is a tropical land situated in the city and county of Honolulu in the State of Hawaii.
 

Waimalu is basically an agricultural land and that is because of the fact that it receives abundant amounts of rainfall through out the year. The weather is pleasant and ideal for residents and tourists. Waimalu receives almost fifty four inches of rain every year which is comparatively higher than the average rainfall through out the United States which stands at thirty seven. The climate of Waimalu provides an ideal condition for agriculture. Fishing, which forms a major potion of income of the people of Waimalu, is made possible because of the tropical weather and the almost perfect water cycle. In Waimalu the warmest months of the year is September with an average maximum temperature of eighty three degrees Fahrenheit. Waimalu is also a commercial district with great activities in trade, industry and education etc. After the disaster that was brought, the progress in the sugar industry was brought to and end. Being an agricultural land previously, the fertility of its lands was destroyed by the war but it has been revived and the land is now able to sustain the vegetation. Sugar which was one a booming industry is now replaced by cultivation of rice which is now a major agricultural product. Fishing is also one of the major sources of income for the people of Waimalu. The culture of Waimalu is one of the strongest cultures remaining in the world today. Although remnants of new English culture remain thought it's not as much as the Asian immigrant that came in the early twentieth century. The arts are in the form of music and photography and galleries are prominent throughout the area. At one time Holua was also played and was quite popular among the ancients and was quite dangerous. Surfing is also a favorite amongst the locals and the beaches provided the locals with venue for the same. The climate of Waimalu provides an ideal condition for agriculture.
